Ornamental Trees
Clootwijck Nurseries specializes amongst others in organic cultivation of ornamental trees. We carry out NAK certified occullation, spill formation, transplaning under own mangement and control. The own Dutch nursery does not use artificial fertilizer and battles diseases and pests in a natural way with certified biological and natural means. Several of our nurseries are under strict control by SKAL, which warrant the EKO quality mark.
The added value of biologically grown ornamental trees originates from the absence of the use of artificial fertilizers. Illnesses and weeds are only controlled by mechanical or certified biological and natural methods. Natural fertilization and protection methods make our trees in general stronger and result in a faster adaptation to their environment.
Full range of standard as well as organic (SKAL) certified ornamental trees originate from own production at Clootwijck Nurseries (The Netherlands), Rasadnik IVA (Croatia) and from the cooperation with Adaplant (Turkey) and Savvateeva Nurseries (Russia).
Fruit Trees
Clootwijck Nurseries cooperates for fruit trees with several Dutch fruit tree growers which are experienced and well known in the modern Dutch fruit sector. For apple trees, these growers work with the so called ‘Knip Tree® Technology’ which was introduced 15 years ago and enables the development of high density fruit orchards.
This innovative technology is now used in many countries worldwide and has contributed significantly to innovating sustainable fruit growing optimizing quality and quantity outputs. Besides apple and pear trees Clootwijck also designs and supplies nurseries and plantations for pit (apples and pears), stone and soft fruits (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries as well as cherries and plums).

- Apple and Pear: Full range of modern apple and pear varieties (as grafted rootstock or 2 years Knip Tree).
- Stone Fruit: modern Cherry and Prune varieties (as grafted rootstock or 2 years Knip Tree).
- Soft Fruit: Range of modern soft fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, blackberries as well as black, red and white currants.
